Besides games though, The 'Tude Dude also carries an astute opinion across other realms of entertainment (most notably sports and movies) with a variety of synopsized evaluations and other posts to accommodate to these fun perspectives as well!

PUSH IT TO THE EDGE

What is 'tude anyways ? Most basic definitions list it as simply a short abbreviation for attitude but it truly is SO much more than that! Spawned in society during the punk-rock 80's and grunge-filled 90's, this invisible force oozed its way through the pores of our culture to dominate every corner of life in one way or another through a campaign of unapologetic and abstract insanity! Gone was the straight-laced "safe" mindset of staying in your lane and following in the footsteps of those that came before replaced ABRUPTLY by a lawless-feeling freedom of thought built on individuality and self-empowerment! Today, fully-suited entrepreneurs skateboard to work on the same streets past contemporaries who would have scoffed at their proximity only just a few decades ago while video game enthusiasts have shed their previously misunderstood virtual acuity to now show off their unquestioned loyalty with as much resounding dedication as a mafia-hopeful on the come-up - both simultaneously highlighting the irresistible progress of this amazing mindset as it rolls on with efficient perpetuity! I know... I know, I still haven't really answered the original question so here it goes-

'Tude is the sizzle from the steak, the strut on the boardwalk and the style of unashamed confidence! It's the nitro booster on an already fast race car adding even more exorbitant speed , the paint on The Ultimate Warrior's face which slams your mind with unobstructed befuddlement and the big-wave surfer who charges harder than the rest for that last ounce of adrenaline ! It's the brashness of a superstar athlete who carries the weight of a whole team on his shoulders yet still talks the talk before walking the walk , the roguish guile of a cunning anti-hero who somehow saves the day despite displaying the flippant demeanor of a pessimistic youth and the exceptional cockiness of a subjugated video game character who taps his feet in urgent disgust at a too idle player for not paying attention. It's gnarly neon eye-candy , Death Row Records , Crossfire The Ultimate Challenge Great White sharks Rodzilla , Grave Digger  , unnecessarily rad swimming trunks , Duke Nukem Mountain Dew Doritos   and this guy spectacular "mullet-hawk" all pressed into one defiantly glorious lump of LOUD and PROUD! ...Got all that???

Bottom line - 'Tude is the epitome of "Push It To The Edge" showcasing the ultimate desire of trailblazing innovation coalesced within a relentless pursuit of over-achievement! Though it has warped drastically over the years in appearance from the effulgent "Full House" explosion it resembled in the late 80's/early 90's to the Rebel Without A Cause/black-on-black "Matrix" vibe leading through the new millennium , its underlying mission of precedent-setting superficiality continues headlong into the uncharted waters of the future as mankind adapts with the ever-prevailing fluctuations of constant integration. For me, this extreme anomaly has been a welcome associate of inspiration since my Batman-loving/NES-conquering youth , guiding my preferences in many crucial decisions while effectively staving off the agents of listlessness as I gained traction in my understanding of all things "cool". It was like wearing an awesome mental suit of unbreakable armor juxtaposing its absence of unprepared naivety and it's this very same "dark matter-like" substance and the gift of practiced recognition towards it that eventually formed The 'Tude Dude's conception as the "radical writer" leading him to pair his brand of critically 'tude-centered content in with the likes of his favorite rebellious muses. With that said, what better place to absorb the true conduit of frivolous revelry than in the world of entertainment where charisma and magnetism are paramount above all else!

Growing up in the late 80's and early 90's , the catalyst for my 'tude affinity was firstly discovered in the pile of kick-ass, cheesy, edge-of-your-seat, suspense movies from my childhood. Super rad action thrillers like The Running Man Die Hard Top Gun  and anything with Jean-Claude Van Damme in it  all served to kick-start my imagination into a fantastical place of giant explosions, catchy one-liners and heroes who saved the day regardless of how insurmountable the odds! In addition to this, less-than-stellar motion picture experiences such as Three Men And A Baby , Tootsie  and... yuck... Dirty Dancing  (it's SO dirty) taught me the harsh lesson of boredom while at the same time clearly having a blatant lack of the 'tudey goodness that I came to depend on for my blossoming recreational needs. As a result, knowing the difference between the have's and the have not's in this department through ostensible analyzing became vital so that I could do my best to try and avoid the crumb bums and maintain my happy imagination as much as possible creating an early need for perspective criticism.

Meanwhile, the video games of my time were evolving from the archaic "single-screen" affairs of the Atari age into broader and more cinematic-like experiences creating a perfect outlet for this growing love of fast cars, big guns and underground martial-arts tournaments to the death! Arcade hits such as OutRun , Operation Wolf and Pit-Fighter  were instantly tantalizing for me as a kid as stand-up cabinets at my local watering hole while the home consoles provided even more of an escape into the 'tude-D dimension with titles like Contra on the NES, Splatterhouse 2 on the Sega Genesis and F-Zero on the SNES just to name a few. Not only did these awesome releases blow me away with their snazzy aesthetics and enjoyable gameplay but they also were draped with edgy premises and an "in your face" motif that blended perfectly with the incorrigible action blockbusters of my adolescence! Even the advertisements of the period were RIDICULOUSLY aggressive"Genesis DOES... What Nintendon't." reflecting further the indoctrination of 'tude within the collective status-quo as more and more innovation was produced around this theme of "put up or shut up."

Clearly, the age of 'tude was upon us and basking in its bright-green rebelliousness became my conductor coursing dynamic energy through my veins as I peered through countless hours of gaming goodness! Similarly to movies, it became fairly evident early on that not every game delivers in this department of unhinged awesomeness proven with impunity after trudging through titles the Back to the Future (NES) , Dark Castle (Sega Genesis) and Timecop (SNES) just to name a tiny portion. Worse still, many of the magazines and advertisements of the era (the vessel that spun the largest chronicle of criticism with which to draw reference from) totally PHONED IN many of their reviews of these releases leveraging full-blown honesty either due to a binding 1st-party agreement with an affiliate company or a glaring shortage of the resolute 'tude that I had grown immensely fond of which further galvanized the need for my existence after all this time. Now, armed to the nines with this resoundingly powerful phenomenon, The 'Tude Dude aims to tell it like it is in all his endeavors as he harnesses the strength of this bright-green singularity for the sake of truth, justice and... badassness??? Welcome to the world of 'tude.

HAVE MORE FUN!

Here at The 'Tude Dude the goal is simple - "Have More Fun!" by creating the most ridiculously epic content EVER focusing primarily on all the things that are actually worth reading about... leisurely recreation in ALL its forms (hope you weren't expecting to see news or something cause your definitely in the wrong place)! Of course, there are plenty of topics within The 'Tude Dude's visible scope of unfiltered judgement when it comes to this category (specifically movies and sports) but the absolute MAIN ingredient you'll find here is video games with a shrewd expertise towards the 3 systems that shaped The 'Tude Dude's childhood more than any other-

Nintendo Entertainment SystemSega Genesis
Super Nintendo Entertainment System

Over the years, The 'Tude Dude has consumed literally countless hours of gaming misinformation combining playing experiences with read articles and watched videos to formulate a well-versed and brutally-honest opinion as a critic, connoisseur and devotee to all things video games culminating into the website that your currently staring at. In other words, though thetudedude.com reserves the right to create content about anything and everything depending on the ongoing forecast of relevancy, you can expect unequivocally for video games (particularly retro gaming culture) to be the prevailing theme throughout.

The overarching component to this is The 'Tude Dude's Retro Reviews, a comprehensive review database of NES, SNES and Sega Genesis games (The 'Tude Dude's favorite personal consoles) with music, media and critical analysis similar to the magazines of the past along with a 'tude rating indicating the game's "coolness" appeal. Other articles, like top 10 lists, Random Rants, sports posts and more will also populate the realm implemented semi-regularly and delivered in an easy-to-read format and authentically edgy coat of polish. Additionally, static pages (scripts containing 100% of their content on 1 page) like Funny Ads And Posters, Magazine Cover Court and Sports Game Player Profiles will be updated without schedule continuously (unless indicated otherwise) creating even more rewarding nooks throughout. ...And beyond that, who knows? Streaming... podcasting... videos... the future remains fluid as new ideas are assimilated into the core concept.

It should also be noted the importance of readability in terms of compatibility and compensation for the handicapped. Besides the aspects listed previously, The 'Tude Dude's aim is to create media that is functional across multiple platforms so that no matter what device your using, it will perform with its intended results while adapting to your comfort. Additionally, "alt text" will be used as often as possible to better translate any pertinent images that aren't decipherable to your device as the strive for further accessibility continues full-steam-ahead. This, of course, unravels with revolving issues and solutions operating as a constantly-needed mechanism of adaptation succeeded ONLY through trial and dialogue so please don't hesitate to reach out if anything is found that needs improving (we're ALL learning as we go after all).

So that pretty much covers it! Regardless of what type of material you may happen to be experiencing, know that the overarching thesis will ALWAYS be about "pushing it to the edge" (keeping things as 'tude-centered and unfiltered as possible) while "having more fun" (observing as many aspects from the world of recreation that make The 'Tude Dude tick) creating a nucleus of understanding throughout the entirety of the site. Furthermore, the implementation of collaborative ideas is always exciting and welcome so if you've got a shared interest and/or a cool suggestion, PLEASE feel free to reach out via E-Mail - radwriting@thetudedude.com and let's discuss! So join me, The 'Tude Dude  and my tag-team partner, The Indigo Gamer  in our quest to provide quality content about all the stuff we LOVE across the entertainment spectrum!

MAGAZINE COVER COURT GUIDE

"Don't judge a book by its cover ... but most certainly judge its cover !!!" Throughout the eons of time, many different forms of media have been created most of which adorned with a unique cover designed to simultaneously draw in eyes against rival competition while also conveying some semblance of the content to be found inside making it a very influential and instantaneous visual aid worthy of critique. Like many of us who grew up in the 'tude era, The 'Tude Dude consumed quite a bit of uniquely awesome fronts especially whenever he got his hands on a gamer magazine of some type. No matter what components were brought together to quickly display the contextual innards, these covers were/are always interesting acting as thematic time capsules and comedic propaganda effectively linking us to our nostalgia long after they've left the newsstand. But which ones were more effective at tantalizing the misled youth?

It's with that in mind that I've created the Magazine Cover Court - The 'Tude Dude's visual judgement spoken straight from his eyeballs (YIKES)!!! Whether it be a neon palette which hearkens your mind back to the radical past or a larger-than-life pop culture icon who grabs your attention with hyped precision , these displays swung for the fences visually and deserve their day in court to be judged by a peer who's been scanning these with heightened proficiency for as long as he can remember. Well now the time has come to usher all of these relics from the retro age back into the spotlight of analysis to determine which ones stood out from their counterparts and avoided the crime of "visual disobedience" in the ultimate proceeding of video game magazine covers! Now I admit, I may not have the most keen perspective when it comes to fine artwork as much of it tends to escape my grasp (...wait, Bob Ross ISN'T universally-renowned ???) but it's my solemn vow to put forth my best effort conveying my point of view towards the classic panoramas provided by the kick-ass covers of the past culminating in a quip one-liner and 1 of 3 final rulings (guilty, not guilty and hung jury) all for the benefit of killer illustrations and... video game justice? The 3 different overall verdicts break down like this-

Unequivocally culpable for producing a BAD cover no matter the containing elements resulting in visual disobedience and an abrupt gavel slam for added effect

Free from any criminal activity due to the creation of a GOOD cover concluding in full exoneration and critical praise

Unable to determine overall the guilt of the suspect image in question due to the inception of a MEH cover splitting the judge's decision down the middle
